✨ Exciting Progress on Glamhaven! ✨
Since the computer deleted most of my RPG MAKER files, i have been in a slump. I've been working on 3d things here and there, and dabbling in unity. so here's an update on what's happening.
Hey everyone! I’ve felt inspired lately and got the bug to dive back into working on GLamhaven. I’ve made some great strides in the 3D modelling side of things, which is super exciting. I even bought some base meshes for the characters—because let’s be real, my character sculpting skills still need a lot of work. But the good news? It’s giving me more time to focus on the game mechanics!
One idea that’s been on my mind is the customization of the Drag Queen characters. I want players to start with a body type of their choice, where they can select their preferred breastplate and hip pad sizes. From Small, Medium and Large. These choices will not only define the initial look of the character but also allow for deeper personalization and self-expression right from the start of the game.
And here’s where it gets really interesting—the ability to go in and out of drag! Players will be able to seamlessly switch between being in drag and out of drag, which opens up so many possibilities. I’m also considering giving players the option to tweak their breastplate and hip pad sizes as they progress, offering even more customization and freedom in how they present themselves.
Lastly, I’m toying with the idea of adding one more masculine-looking character to the roster. I want the game to feel balanced and inclusive, and having a character who embodies a more masculine style of drag could add a unique dynamic to the gameplay.
I’ve also been thinking about how to let players really personalize their queens even further. One of the features I’m super excited about is implementing a color wheel to determine skin tone. This would allow players to adjust their queen’s skin tone to their exact liking, adding another layer of customization that helps each player create a character that truly represents them.
Of course, I’ve got tons of plans in the works, but since I’m still learning the ropes of programming, it’s going to take me some time to figure everything out. I do wish I’d learned more C++ and C# back in high school instead of Visual Basic and Java—I feel like I’d be able to grasp a lot of the concepts a bit quicker now. But hey, that’s what hobbies are all about, right? It’s a learning process, and I’m enjoying every step of it.
I’m excited to keep diving deeper into this project and growing as a developer. Can’t wait to see where it takes me! 🙌
I’m still working through the coding side of things, but the vision is coming together. Can’t wait to share more as things progress!
Stay tuned, glam fam! 💖💅
